Risk Free · Websites

A site that explains you, priced by what it does.

We plan, write, design and build your site to a defined working scope, priced by what it has to do rather than how many pages it has. Support afterwards is optional, every recurring cost is itemised, and the site stays yours.

From $1,197 starting total, quoted to requirements CAD, plus HST. The price of the work, not a deposit. Domain, hosting and other recurring costs are listed separately and stay in your name.

We never promise search rankings, and support afterwards is optional.

What you get

  • Structure and writing

A short list of pages, each with one job, and plain copy in your voice.

  • Design and build

A layout that reads easily on a phone, built fast, with readable contrast and descriptions for images.

  • SEO foundations and launch

A unique title, real text and matching structured data on every page, then a launch check. Launch is included. Ongoing search work: SEO & AI search.

  • Support, if you want it

Optional support with a defined scope: updates, backups, uptime checks and edits up to an agreed allowance. No compulsory retainer, and the site is yours either way.

How a build runs

A build in five steps, then it’s yours.

Each step shows who does the work and what you approve. Five steps are the build. The sixth is what happens after launch: the site is yours, and support is optional.

Care plan · a written list From launchRunning

  • Security updates Applied
  • Backup Saved
  • Uptime check Site is up
  • Small content edit Hours updated

Not on the list? New pages, features and redesigns are quoted first.

The example shows a fictional plumber's website. A wireframe fills with real wording: a navigation bar, a headline, Book and Call buttons, three services and opening hours. The site then goes live and its care plan starts. Over time the written care list is worked through: security updates are applied, a backup is saved, an uptime check passes and one small content edit changes the opening hours. Work beyond the list is quoted first.

Built once. Yours after that.

We build the site to the plan you approved. At launch it’s yours: the domain in your name, the content yours, hosting on its own line. If you want support, it has a written list and its own price, and anything bigger is quoted before it starts.

Want calls answered too? We can route calls to Heron. How it connects is agreed in the scope.

The example is fictional. It shows the method, not a result.

Price

A starting total, quoted to what the site must do.

From $1,197 starting total · CAD plus HST · quoted to requirements

Paid in two parts: an initial payment when the scope is approved, credited against the agreed total, and the balance at launch. The agreed total is the price; the starting total is never a deposit.

What the starting total covers

  • The pages your business needs, each with one job. We price the work, not the page count
  • Writing from your facts, in your voice, or your content placed and edited
  • Design that reads easily on a phone and a desktop
  • A fast, accessible build: keyboard use, readable contrast, image descriptions
  • An enquiry form that reaches you, and your phone number pointed at Heron if you use it
  • Search foundations: titles, real text, structured data that matches the page
  • Launch, with the checklist handed to you

What adds to the price

  • Original filming or photography (we use the photos and video you already have and are allowed to use)
  • An AI assistant inside the site, with its AI or API usage listed separately
  • An online shop or payments, customer accounts and databases, booking
  • Connections to other systems, complex workflows, and moving content from an old site
  • Ongoing search, keyword or conversion testing: separate work, on its own page
  • Revisions beyond the agreed scope, redesigns and major updates, quoted first

Recurring costs and options, itemised

Functionality sets the price, never the page count. Heron Presence and Complete clients get a one-time $400 discount on this base build ($797 before extras and tax); extras are quoted the same way. Apps have their own page and starting scope.

Consultations are free, for every service and every tier. A note books nothing and fixes no price.

What we don’t do.

Search position depends on your market, your content and continued care. We build the foundations and say so plainly.

  • Charge by the page. The price follows what the site has to do. A site that needs twelve plain pages isn’t a bigger job than one that needs four pages and a booking flow.
  • Sell unlimited development or revisions. The scope is written down. Revisions within it are agreed in the plan; new features, redesigns and major updates are quoted first.
  • Make support compulsory, or call the site free. Support is optional with a defined scope. Your domain and hosting are recurring costs in their own right, listed in the quote and kept in your name.
  • Hide paid plugins in the fee. Plugins, licences, stock images and fonts the design needs are on their own lines in every quote.
  • Promise rankings. We build the foundations: crawlable pages, clear titles, speed. No one can guarantee a search position, so we don’t.

How we start

From a short call to a plan you approve.

  1. 01

    A short call

What the site is for, who it is for, and what you already have: words, photos, a logo, an old site.

  2. 02

    A quote

A starting total of $1,197 for the defined scope, with anything extra and every recurring cost on its own line.

  3. 03

    You approve the plan

The scope, the pages and the quote. A plan with dates comes after scoping, not a promise before it.

  4. 04

We build, launch and hand over

You approve the words and the design as we go. Launch is included. Support afterwards is optional.

Questions.

How much does a website cost?

Websites start at $1,197, in Canadian dollars plus HST, for a defined working scope: the pages your business needs, writing from your facts, design for phone and desktop, an enquiry form, the search foundations and launch. The starting total is the price of that work, not a deposit. What moves it is functionality (payments, accounts, booking, integrations), how much content we write, and any moving of content from an old site. Each extra is on its own line in the quote.

How is it paid?

In two parts: an initial payment when the scope is approved, credited against the agreed total, and the balance at launch. The agreed total is the price.

Is support compulsory?

No. Support is optional and has a defined scope: updates, backups, uptime checks and edits up to an agreed allowance, at its own price. Without it you still get the launch checklist, and the site is yours.

Who owns the site and the domain?

You do. The domain is registered in your name (we reuse the one you have), the content is yours, and you can take the site elsewhere. Domain renewal and hosting are ongoing costs, listed in the quote. They aren’t free, and we don’t hide them.

Do I need new photos or video?

No. We use the photos and video you already have and are allowed to use. Original filming or photography is quoted as an extra.

How long does a build take?

It depends on the number of pages and how quickly content and feedback come back. You get a plan with dates after scoping, not a promise before it.

Can I edit the site myself?

We agree that during planning: you edit it yourself, or you send changes to us. If you take optional support, edits up to its allowance are included.

Will my website rank on Google?

We build the foundations: crawlable pages, clear titles, useful content, speed and accessibility. We don’t guarantee search position. Results depend on your market, your content and continued care.

Do you build apps as well as websites?

Yes, single-purpose web apps: a tool your customers use, or one your team uses to keep track of requests. They have their own page and their own starting scope. A clickable prototype is not a working app, and we don’t sell one as such.

Tell us what the site needs to do.

A short note is enough to start, and the consultation is free. Websites from $1,197 for a defined scope, with recurring costs on their own lines and support optional.
